There are simple steps we can take to reduce our impact on the environment at the design and production stages. We are committed to making efficient design solutions and using responsible production choices.
We recycle as appropriate (not only paper, but all production waste) and choose paper stocks that contain recycled content and that are non-chlorine bleached. We have unlimited resources to paper selections for you to choose from and will encourage (but not force) the use of recycled materials.
We encourage the use of vegetable-based inks for printing. Vegetable-based inks produce considerably less VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds), which pollute the air we breathe. We avoid using inks that contain harmful chemicals such as copper, lead, and barium. Another great way to save money, time, and help the environment at the same, is to consider digital printing options. There are even fully sustainable digital print houses like Blend, whose entire operation is run on wind and solar power.
